Mr. Joe Mbulu
Chief Finance Officer/Executive Director, Union Bank of Nigeria PLC representing Union Bank of Nigeria PLC

Mr. Joe Mbulu was appointed to the Board of Directors in February 2020 joined Union Bank in August 2014 as transformation expert. He was the Chief Operating Officer for the Domestic Bank Business unit of Ecobank Transnational (ETI), where he coordinated Strategy Formulation and Execution for the banking group’s Retail, SME, Local Corporate and Public Sector businesses.

 
Before joining ETI, Joe led Strategy & Business Transformation at Bank PHB. He also served as the Vice President for Business Transformation in the Global Finance Organisation at Nielsen in New York.


He has over 25 years’ professional experience with world-class competences in Financial Management and Analysis, Organisational and Business Transformation, Strategy/Operational Consulting and Project/Program Management in the financial services, information, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and media industries.


Mr. Mbulu holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, Pennsylvania, an MSc. in Finance from Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, and a BSc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Benin.

 
    Mr. Dominic Isunuoya
Managing Director Keynes Private Equity

He holds a first degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Agronomy from the University of Calabar (1988) with field expertise; has MBA (Banking & Finance) from the ESUT Business School (2000). In 2001 he took the qualifying examination of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association, and was admitted to its prestigious CISA membership. He is also a certified Oracle Database Administrator (OCA).

Dominic qualified and trained as a Chartered Accountant at the blue-chip accounting firm of Price Waterhouse between 1990 and 1994. He subsequently joined Diamond Bank where he worked in the Internal Control Department. In 1998, he moved on to the United Bank for Africa Plc where he worked as a Senior Manager and held several additional positions, the last being Head of Operational Risk Management for the North Central Region. In 2002, he joined Indo-Nigeria Bank as Chief Inspector and two years later he was appointed as the pioneer Branch Manager of Ikeja Branch. In January 2006, following the merger of Indo-Nigeria Bank with other Banks into the newly-formed Sterling Bank, Dominic served as the Relationship Manager Retail and Commercial Banking in charge of the Oba Akran Branch, before leaving for his consultancy and entrepreneurship practice.

He was until recently an Executive Director at Assetswise Capital Ltd; a private Equity Firm where he handled a number of deals such as the Venture Capital Investment in Eartholeum Networks Ltd., the Buyout of Seric Impianti International Limited and a number of Advisory projects. He is a distinguished banker with over twelve years of professional experience, Dominic has in-depth, practical experience in Investment Analysis, Risk Management, Financial Management and reporting, Financial Analysis/Modeling and Taxation.

Dominic is a member of several reputable local and international professional organizations, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and has attended various offshore and onshore training programs.

 
       
               











Mr. Kayode Oladipo
Head, Commodities at Polaris Bank Limited

Banking professional with over 16 years post qualification experience garnered across various fields including treasury management, strategy and product development, commercial and corporate banking. Functional expertise in trade finance, business analytics, credit and financial analysis and client origination.

I currently head the Commodities team within the Corporate Banking Group at Skye Bank with responsibility for the management and development of customer relations in specific target markets including flour and allied products, automobile and general commerce. I had previously covered other key segments including, manufacturing, cement, FMCG, hotel and hospitality, construction, steel and oil and gas (downstream) in various capacities within the commercial and corporate banking space.

As an individual, I am driven and passionate about building and maintaining relationships. I have been involved in starting and leading successful teams in the past and look forward to new opportunities to create value.

 

Mr. Fred Anigbogu
MD/CEO, Unique Venture Capital

Fred is an adaptive multi-disciplinary professional with proficiency in risk-asset management and sector-agnostic investments spanning manufacturing, services, health, logistics, hospitality, ICT and infrastructure services. With post-doctoral entrepreneurial studies, board and C-Level management advisory dictates focusing on integrity, blueprinting compliance, governance practice, growth strategies and investment valuation mandates underpinned in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, ICT, Accounting and Entrepreneurship backgrounds. He is a key management coaching/mentor with fervent congruent alignment to institutional/corporate goals and structure, continuity and performance-driven objectives through business development, fund raising and prudent deployment.

He was the Chief Operating Officer of Amalgamated Capital Fund Ltd (a VC/PE Company), an Assistant Director - Private Sector Support Services in the United States-Nigeria Development Institute, a cross-border developmental institution with oversight functions with United States based Small Business Administration (SBA). Prior to this, he was Manager/Head, Credits & Appraisal Department of the National Risk Fund PLC, Lagos (pioneer Venture Capital Company in Nigeria). He earlier worked as an investment banker as Assistant Manager, Corporate Banking Department in Merchant Bank of Africa Ltd, Lagos after a stint with Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.

Fred has PhD and M.Phil. degrees in Entrepreneurship, MBA in Project Management, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). His working career spans Engineering/Information Technology, Banking, Venture Capital/Private Equity Investments, Financial and Project Management mostly in SMEs environments and had played pivotal roles in project initiation, analysis, packaging and execution including cross border investments. He has excellent knowledge of Investment, Due Diligence, Appraisal, Modeling, Valuation, M & E Processes and Reporting all implemented through robust IT suites.

He is a regular attendee to many PE/VC/SME focused events and conferences especially under the auspices of AVCA, EMPEA, SuperReturn, IFF, PEI, Risk & Return, General Management, Leadership Courses, Conferences and Seminars locally, regionally and internationally. He has been involved in PE fund raising activities mostly from LPs and Development Financial Institutions. He is an active member of Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria, Mainland District Society of ICAN, member of many philanthropic and sports organizations including Ikoyi Club (Golf Section) among others.
